ECO STOVES

ACD Guatemala eco-stoves are part of our health prevention strategies. Most of the people who attend our regular medical clinic have respiratory diseases, mainly because most Guatemalan families prepare their meals over open fires. This cooking method impacts their respiratory health and also leads to skin diseases and vision problems, as well as burns. To prevent respiratory problems, cataracts or other vision problems, house fires and burn
injuries, ACD Guatemala and international partners build ecological stoves to tackle and prevent danger in the home, to preserve the environment and to support family economies.
